The Governing body is accountable for the school’s future direction, performance and ensuring that the National Curriculum is taught, as well as many other duties.
Governors are usually appointed for a four year term. The Chair and Vice Chair are appointed every year.
The full governing body usually meets at twice per term. Most governors also sit on one or two committees dealing with:

School Improvement
Committees also usually meet twice per term and report on their work to the Full Governing Body meeting.
